EPI member James McLaughlin completed a detailed patent search regarding hydraulic fracture plugging of transverse fractures. Over two hundred patents were researched, seventy of those reviewed in significant detail. The large number of patents and patent applications in this topic highlights strong interest in height growth containment in some cases and in other cases cutting across interfaces for greater fracture height.
This patent information is now available for EPI to use for Client projects.
